Aosta, Fènis Castle, Sarre Castle, Courmayeur, Saint-Martin-de-Corlèans, Verrès Castle
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to the city of Aosta with an authorized guide, the visit will touch the main Roman sites that have marked the birth and foundation of the city of Augustus, the first emperor of Rome, the Roman Bridge, the Arch of Augustus, Porta Praetoria, the Roman Theater and forensic cryptoporticus. Following the visit of the medieval monuments that distinguish the Romanesque style such as the Collegiate Church of S. Orso and its Cloister, the Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta and its perfectly preserved Ottonian frescoes. Free lunch and afternoon we will continue with the visit of the city and the chance to go shopping. Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
Castello di Fènis and Castello di Sarre
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the local guide to reach the castle of Fènis with a reserved visit, the castle is known for its scenic architecture, with the double crenellated walls enclosing the central building and the numerous towers. Lunch in a farmhouse on the wonderful hill of the manor. In the afternoon we will visit the Castle of Sarre among apple orchards and breathtaking views, built by the Savoy family for its hunting expeditions during the summer periods. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Courmayeur and Mont Blanc
Breakfast at the hotel and departure of the group to reach Courmayeur, a world-famous ski resort at the foot of the highest mountain in Europe: Mont Blanc. You will climb to the tip of Helbronner through the Skyway, you will reach a breathtaking height for a unique experience, defined as the eighth wonder of the world. Lunch in a restaurant with typical Aosta Valley cuisine. Guided tour of Courmayeur and its church. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon with dinner.
Saint-Martin-de-Corlèans and Castle of Verrès
Breakfast at the hotel and gathering of the group for the guided visit to the Megalithic area of Saint-Martin-de-Corlèans: prehistoric site that tells more than 6,000 years of history starting from the first plowing of the site to go to the wells and the raising of the poles contextually to the stelae of which 46 examples are preserved. Lunch in a restaurant, and continue with a visit to the Issogne castle (one of the most beautiful and representative of the Challant family) followed by a visit to the Verrès castle. The cancellation of the reservation is immediate and without any penalty if made within 30 days from the start date of the tour. After this date a penalty of 70% must be incurred.
In case of bad weather, are the stages also planned?
Yes, the stages are insured regardless of the weather.
What clothing do you recommend?
We recommend comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing that will make you feel good regardless of temperature and climate.
What does it include?
